Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Ithaca, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,360 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/31/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Ithaca, New York, 14850! Job Title: RN Float Profession: RN Float Specialty: RN Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Candidates need to have at least 2 of the 3 areas of competence: 1. ICU - minimum 2 years ICU experience 2. Med/Surg/Tele - minimum 1 year Med/Surg/Tele experience 3. ED - minimum 2 years ED experience, triage experience required, charge nurse experience preferred Description: This is a float position. It involves bedside patient care. Epic experience is required. Candidates must work every other weekend and every other holiday. Unit description for critical care: The unit consists of 16 beds for ICU and intermediate care with an average daily census of 81. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for intermediate care. Unit description for Med/Surg/Tele: The unit consists of 32 beds with an average daily census of 17-22. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, and it is 1:6 during surgical staffing. There is nursing assistant support available. Additional support comes from a lightly assigned charge nurse with a 1:2 patient ratio. Unit description for emergency department: The unit consists of 23 monitored beds with an average daily census of 70-100 patients of all ages. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, and it is 1:5 during surgical staffing.
